Welcome back!

It's so lovely to see the children again after half term! They have settled back incredibly well after only 2 days of being back and have impressed me with their listening skills and ability to learn songs!

We are currently looking at Autumn and also will be looking at Autumn weddings, so if anyone has anything to share regarding these topics, please do bring them in. This week, we have looked at Autumn poems, colour mixed paint to make Autumn paintings, measured leaves using non standard units, drawn leaves using observation skills and explored the wonderful leaves outside! We also measured ourselves against a giraffe (not to do with Autumn but fun!!) and discovered that a giraffe is bigger than 4 children long!

As already mentioned, the children have settled in really well, so we are going to try and line to the children up in the mornings now and get them to come straight into class, as it's important to foster the children's independent skills as much as possible.

Thank you! From the Dosbarth Ellifant team!
